Awesome Pirate Girl Room!

A few months ago I was contacted by a customer about my pink girly pirate lampshade.


She was re-doing her step daughter's room and wanted the shade to be the inspiration (this made me soooooo giddy!). She bought the shade and I made her promise to send pictures once the room was finished (I even sent her scraps of the fabric which she added to the throw pillows on the bed - LOVE IT!). Here is the finished product...I would have killed for a room like this when I was 10!!

I'm a total bonehead and completely forgot to post my superfly handmade picks last week! This adorable upcycled plaid lace flutter sleeve top from Smarmy Clothes is definitely going on my birthday wish list. It's so cute and I love the lace accents *makes grabby hands* "Like" her FAN PAGE to see her latest and greatest creations!



Platipuses makes some amazing clothing for girls with curves. This sweet little paisley dress is just one of the many wonderful things Plats offers in her shop. Check out her FAN PAGE as well!

CraftAnon4Charity and Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research

This week's handmade pics are special because they all come from our team charity shop CraftAnon4Charity. Team members donate items and all proceeds go to the featured charity.
Currently we are supporting Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, a wonderful organization that devotes it's time to rehabilitating wildlife effected by oil spills. This is a concern for many people with the current spill in the Gulf.
The great part about this shop is that you will receive an awesome handmade item while knowing that you helped out with such an amazing cause. Win, win!

I have been eyeing this Dark Rhapsody - Gunmetal Charm Necklace from NightsRequiem ever since she listed it. I love the layered chain style and that big gorgeous turquoise gem!
